Integrated Marketing Communications
As part of my Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) course at JMU, I gained hands-on experience in creating, planning, and evaluating a full-scale marketing campaign. The course covered key areas such as advertising, public relations, direct marketing, event sponsorship, and more. Over the semester, my team and I developed an IMC plan for a local nonprofit, where we applied real-world strategies to help strengthen their brand presence and community engagement. This project allowed me to build both creative and strategic marketing skills while working with a real client.




Social Media Marketing
In my Social Media Marketing course, I learned the foundations of building and managing a strong digital presence across major platforms. The class explored platform strategies, content planning, and the psychology behind online engagement. For our semester-long project, my team and I created a strategic social media marketing plan for Bouquets and Bustles, a one-person wedding coordination business. We developed content, campaign ideas, and a 12-month calendar tailored to the brand’s goals and target audience — giving me valuable experience working hands-on with a real client in a creative, digital space.
